Assessment of Heritage Buildings and Landscapes

The analysis of the San Pablo Heritage Zone began with the identification of heritage structures. Listed under Type 1 (Existing Heritage Structures with high authenticity and integrity) are the following:

  • the old Municipal Hall;
  • the Fule Malvar Mansion;
  • the old Casa Real;
  • and the Cathedral Church of St. Paul the First Hermit

Related to this, other sites were also identified. These included parks, plazas, structures of presumed importance, monuments, and new buildings which contributed to the character of the site. The old Philippine National Railways line was also identified as an important transport connection which had positive commercial effects to the development of San Pablo.
